Beginning in This Issue of Montessori Life

Article excerpt

When we took over as editors of Montessori Life, in 2004, our goal was to retain the strong foundation that Joy Turner, the previous editor, had built, while bringing our own skills, interests, and knowledge to bear. Our art directors, Martin Skoro and Ross Rezac, gave Montessori Life a fresh new look that they continue to update. It has been nearly 9 years now since we came on board, and for this Fall 2013 issue, we are excited to announce some new sections to the magazine that we hope will make it even more reader-friendly.

We will be consolidating all AMS-specific information into a new section we are calling The AMS Connection. There, you will find content such as school anniversaries, upcoming AMS events, and other AMS announcements. The AMS Connection is also where we will print teacher education program listings, by city, state or country, and credential levels offered (full information on TEPs, including addresses and program directors, can be found on the AMS website). We will print news of school accreditations and reaccreditations in The AMS Connection; a full listing of AMS-accredited schools can also be found on the AMS website.

The last page of the magazine will now be called Montessori Parent and will be a recurring page-long column with content geared toward parents. …
