Plans to adopt new technologies, analyze HR processes and extend manager self-service are among the top trends identified by Towers Watson's 2013 HR Service Delivery and Technology Survey. The survey report, released in August, is based on responses from 1,025 participants from 32 countries. Here's what the survey found:

Adopting New Technology

29% of organizations plan to adopt a new human resource management system in the near future.

Among organizations seeking a new system, 35% are considering only software-as-aservice solutions, almost three times the percentage considering only an on-premise solution.

88% of organizations will look at software-as-a-service as a replacement for their existing human resource management system.

1 in 3 organizations will ultimately choose a software-as-a-solution-based platform.
