Marvel's Thor: The Dark World has drawn first blood from its initial foray into 33 territories this weekend, taking $8.2m through Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures International.

One week before the superhero sequel lands in North America, Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston fly into a host of major markets including the UK, Germany, Australia, Mexico, Brazil, France and Scandinavia.
