Pantelion Films, the feted joint venture between Lionsgate and Mexico's Grupo Televisa, has signed a multi-picture agreement with Dominican Republic-based Indomina Media to co-finance and distribute films.

The pact is focused on the next two years yet is in fact open-ended and calls for the production of up to three films a year.

Several projects are in development with Indomina, which over the last year has reconfigured operations to move away from distribution and focus on production, utilising its recently opened Pinewood Indomina Studios in the Dominican Republic.

Pantelion will distribute the films in the US and its partners will distribute in Latin America, with additional international rights to be sold at a later date.

Pantelion's Sandra Condito and Indomina Media International vice-president Stacey Stanley will oversee the projects for the studio. The companies most recently collaborated on 2012 release Filly Brown (pictured). …
