Phil Hoffman was our muse, a true and loyal friend, a supreme artist, but even more than that, a rare and humble human being always in possession of that childlike sense of wonder and imagination. It can be posited that he had too much talent. Kids loved him in "Patch Adams," and he was the finest Willy Loman in our lifetime.

We are grateful to Paul Thomas Anderson, Bennett Miller, Mike Nichols. Charlie Kaufman and many others for ensuring that Phil will be with us forever. He adored Mimi and his kids. And his mother, Marilyn, who was there for him from the very beginning. They must always be mentioned because they were at the center of his inspiration and life. Our hearts go out to them and his entire family.
