Welsh cut office locations to 35

The Welsh Government saved more than £300,000 in 2012/13 in a drive to cut the cost of property. Finance Minister Jane Hutt hailed progress in reducing the public sector estate over the year, with the number of office locations reduced from 41 to 35. The target is for this to be further reduced to 25 by 2015.

NI welcome decision on CAP

Northern Ireland Agriculture Minister Michelle O'Neill welcomed the UK government's decision to maintain the current proportion of Common Agricultural Policy spending in the province. The split between England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales of the euro27.6bn CAP budget from 2014 to 2020 will not be changed. Each nation will take the same share of the 12.6% real-terms cut in CAP spending over the period. …
