Public sector reform head appointed

Colin Sullivan has been appointed to lead Northern Ireland's public sector reform. A former chair of the Social Development Committee, Sullivan will become director of Finance Minister Simon Hamilton's Public Sector Reform Division, tasked with finding ways to make Northern Ireland's public sector more productive and seeking more opportunities with the private sector.

Scotland invests in third sector

The £6m Scottish Government Enterprise Ready Fund will help develop and grow Scotland's third sector and will distribute its funds over two years, Finance Secretary John Swinney has announced. Grants of up to £250,000 will be given to support the long-term development of enterprising third-sector organisations, whether new, emerging or established.
