At an entertainment industry conference co-sponsored by the MPAA last spring, keynote speaker Bill Clinton talked - as expected - about the creative economy. But in his nearly one-hour speech he also covered, among other things: tech and copyright, crowdfunding, human genome research and the worldwide weight of ants.

Somehow, it all tied together.

Clinton's post-presidential career has been marked by his ability to connect divergent interests, bringing together world leaders, non-profits, philanthropists and Hollywood figures to tackle world problems.

That gift for effortless engagement is sure to be reflected in his upcoming speech at the Unite4: Humanity event.

"The future will reward most richly those who are creative and cooperative," Clinton said at the MPAA event last year. "We've got a lot to learn, and the creators have to lead us there. …
