As faithful readers of Working Mother know, I've been trying to get healthy (a.k.a. lose weight) for some time now. A year ago, we chronicled the start of my journey in these pages, and since then I've blogged about my ups and downs on our website (workingmother.com/noexcuses).

The good news is that I've lost 30 pounds and already feel better than I did before. The not-as-good news is that I still have a ways to go. I'll be honest: I had a great first half of the year, backslid, then fought my way back to the 30-pound mark. Now I'm putting myself out there one more time in our pages to share what has worked for me this year and what still can block my path.

I've been blessed to have Working Mother experts help me get on the right track, but what's kept me there is the real-life inspiration from all of you who have reached out to me to share your stresses, successes and a few secrets about ways you make time for your own health, even as busy working moms. …
