How did apartheid end in South Africa? We've had countless obituaries, and a recent biopic celebrating Mandela's role as 'the architect of peace' in South Africa. This astounding doc tells how Mandela's release from prison came about as the result of indefatigable scheming by one 'Citizen Jacques', real name Jean-Yves Ollivier, a French commodities trader and possibly government agent.

Ollivier, opposed to sanctions and adept at evading controls and exploiting trading opportunities, was well known to key political and business figures in South Africa, the frontline states, France and the US. He knew, or made himself known to, everyone who mattered, and seems to have persuaded them that change was inevitable and peaceful change possible.
