Sly Dunbar and Robbie Shakespeare - where would reggae be without the dynamic duo? Since 1975, the creative craziness and spacey soundscapes of the drummer and bassist pair have reinvigorated not only Jamaican reggae but also recordings from Grace Jones, Black Uhuru, Herbie Hancock and a myriad more.

Wrapped in warm analogue tones, Underwater Dub is a piece of reggae wit. It refers back and forth - from the Western-themed cavalry trumpet that introduces 'Spray Belly' and the fantastically stark oldschool electro grooves of 'War Zone', to the crashing, rocklike chords in 'Stormy'. Something of a companion piece to 2012's Blackwood Dub (and also to 1985's A Dub Experience), the 10 instrumentals on Underwater Dub see Sly and Robbie at their flexible best. …
