Storied Music Business Manager Gary Haber

Hollywood and Nashville business manager and accountant Gary Haber, whose clients included Carrie Underwood, Peter Frampton, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Julianne Hough, Joe Cocker and screenwriter Les Bohem, died April 7 in L.A. He was 68.

Clients David Cook, Kris Allen and Meat Loaf were among those to reach out via Twitter to express condolences.

"He was in a class of his own and will be terribly missed," Meat Loaf posted on Facebook. On Twitter, singer-songwriter Shooter Jennings called him a "friend, partner, leader and mentor," while Cook noted: "Gary Haber was a major part of the last six years for me. Heartbroken that he's gone so suddenly."

He established his Haber Corp. in 1977 in Encino, Calif., and opened a branch in Nashville as his roster of country artists grew. Together, the offices employ more than 80 people. …
