The Harris-Stowe State University Board of Regents has appointed DWAUN J. WARMACK as the university's president, effective July 14, 2014. Warmack is currently senior vice president for administration and student services at Bethune-Cookman University. Warmack earned a bachelor's and a master's from Delta State University in Cleveland, Miss. He earned a doctorate from Union University in Jackson, Tenn.

CESAR MALDONADO has been named the chancellor of Houston Community College. He has served as president of Texas State Technical College (TSTC) in Harlingen, Texas, since 2008. In 2011, he was also named vice chancellor for institutional effectiveness and commercialization for the TSTC System. Maldonado holds a bachelors and a masters from Texas A&M University and a doctorate from Texas Tech University.

ROBBIN D. CRABTREE, dean of the College of Arts & Sciences at Fairfield University, in Fairfield, Conn., has been named dean of Loyola Marymount University's Bellarmine College of Liberal Arts. Crabtree earned her bachelor's from the University of California at Santa Barbara. She earned a master's and a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota.
