The album begins with West Side Story's Something's Coming - its melody intact - but then some interesting time signatures cut in, followed by inventive solos by Cutro (tp) and Bergonzi (ss). Boy's Night Out, a Treni original and title song, swings gently and features Spicola (ss), Jones (tp) and Persad (tp). The arrangement was "written in the style of Thad Jones." Shearing's Lullaby cooks with impressive riffs and drumming, featuring the incredible Elmo, now on tenor, and Bilyk on trombone. …
