The former Focus Features evp of international marketing and distribution will remain in London and oversee marketing and distribution for a slate that includes upciming 2014 releases Gone Girl and Birdman.

Jeff Elefterion has been appointed head of domestic marketing and previously served 18 years with Harvey and Bob Weinstein, most recently as head of creative advertising at The Weinstein Company.

New Regency president and CEO Brad Weston made the announcement on Tuesday (July 8) and both appointments are effective immediately.

Paarte joined Focus in 2002 after working for James Schamus and David Linde's previous company Good Machine.

"With a busy slate for us this upcoming fall and beyond, we felt this was the perfect time to bring in Jeff and Heta, both esteemed marketing vets, who will help strengthen our internal processes and work closely with our various studio partners on the campaigns and release of these films," said Weston. …
