Tom Rolf

Won Oscar in 1984 for editing "The Right Stuff"

Tom Rolf, who shared an editing Oscar for his work on 1983 astronaut epic "The Right Stuff" and also edited "Taxi Driver," "New York, New York," "Black Sunday," "Heaven's Gate," "9V4 Weeks," "Heat" and "The Horse Whisperer," among many other films, died June 14. He was 83.

Prolific TV Writer, Creator of Owen Marshall'

Jerry McNeely, Emmy-nominated television writer and creator of series including "Owen Marshall, Counselor at Law," died July 14 in Tarzana, Calif. He was 86 and had suffered from Parkinson's Disease for several years.
