Big Bucks for 3Seasons for 'Big Bang' Stars

The three central stars of "The Big Bang Theory" are closing in on megabucks new deals that will keep them on the hit CBS/Warner Bros. TV comedy through the 2016-17 season, after production was stopped on the series' eighth season due to the negotiations. Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco are poised to see their salaries triple to about $1 million per episode under the three-season pact. Each is expected to receive a full backend point, up from a fractional point under the previous pacts. Still to come: new deals for co-stars Simon Heiberg and Kunal Nayyar.

Spider-Man Universe to Get Femme Hero

Sony Is in the early stages of planning a female-driven superhero film that takes place in the Spider-Man universe. Although the script, penned by Lisa Joy, has yet to reveal which female character the film will center on, Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach already have signed on to produce. A 2017 release date would make sense for the as-yet undated film, considering "The Sinister Six" is set for 2016, and "The Amazing Spider-Man 3" was pushed to 2018. …
