Ingram to Add New Tools to ipage

Ingram Content Group is making enhancements to its ipage platform. The new features will include multiple search, filtering, and content sorting options, as well as the ability to review and manage new title notifications. There will also be batch title processing and a view of actions taken on titles. libraries can have an infinite number of title fists.

More Comics Added to Online Collection

Alexander Street Press made an agreement with EC Comics to add more than 50 of its titles to its online collection Underground and Independent Comics, Comix, and Graphic Novels: Volume H. The content will be available on its online platform, which has tools for adding issues or pages into a shareable online playlist; indexing to help search and discover new artists, series, and genres; and access for unlimited simultaneous users. It is available to libraries around the world via annual subscription or one-time purchase.

Community Zone Expands

Springer Science+Business Media and the American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS) Humanities E-Book (HEB) University Press are partnering with Ex Libris Group in its Ex Libris Alma Community Zone program. It will load publishers' MARC records into the central community catalog, streamlining acquisition and cataloging processes. Springer and HEB will add their metadata to the catalog to help libraries streamline their acquisition workflows.

Springer Launches New OA Journal

Springer launched a new open access (OA) mathematics journal. Research in the Mathematical Sciences is part of SpringerOpen and is also available on SpringerLink. It is an international, peer-reviewed, OA journal covering areas of applied and theoretical mathematics and computer science.

LPC Formally Launches

The Library Publishing Coalition (LPC) supports publishing practices and furthers the interests of library publishers, and it formally launched. LPC fosters collaboration, knowledge sharing, and networking among libraries and between libraries and other publishers. It also published the Library Publishing Directory and developed a research agenda for the library publishing community. …
