12 participants will be selected in the programme backed by Creative Skillset.

Creative England is launching a new development programme, Market Trader, to teach better understanding of international markets to ilm producers, distributors and sales agents at the start of their careers.

The programme, funded by Creative Skillset to support the BFI's international strategy for UK Film, will include a series of residential workshops and mentoring in the UK. Paticipants will also receive support going to Berlin's EFM and Cannes Market in 2015).

Twelve participants will be selected for the initial run of Market Trader, from January to March 2015. Application details are here.

Skills to be developed include pitching and negotiating deals.

The programme will also be used to develop an online platform.
