School Psychology Awareness Week 2014 happens on November 10-14. The theme (Strive. Grow. ThriveJ) focuses on promoting personal growth, resilience, and achievement as well as a sense of connectedness and well-being. The program involves a series of resources and suggested activities designed to help school staff members, students, and parents understand the variety of factors that contribute to thriving students and school communities. Resources and messaging can be adapted to students and adults, different age groups, and multiple contexts. NEW GRATITUDE WORKS-THRIVE! WRISTBANDS

For this year's School Psychology Awareness Week, we wanted to develop a fun, flexible activity that would incorporate elements of the Gratitude Works program and this year's theme of Strive. Grow. Thrive! The result was a visually appealing wristband and a set of suggested activities that are intended to serve as an easily adaptable tool you can use in this and future years to recognize positive actions, spread gratitude, and reinforce the link between these concepts and a thriving school community. …
