Terry Rawlings Honoured with BAFTA Special Award

Alien and Chariots of Fire editor receives BAFTA award.

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has honoured editor Terry Rawlings with a BAFTA Special Award for his outstanding contribution to picture and sound editing.

The five-time BAFTA nominee received the award at an event in London from BAFTA-nominated sound re-recording mixer Ray Merrin, with whom he collaborated on ten films including BAFTA winners Alien, Blade Runner and Chariots of Fire.

"I can't tell you just how thrilled I am...to receive this is just breath-taking. I've been so privileged, I've had a wonderful career and worked with some great people,"said Rawlings, who received the award to a standing ovation from the audience.
