CHINA BOX OFFICE: Zhang Yibai's Fleet Of Time walloped John Woo's The Crossing: Part 1 on its opening weekend in China, grossing $33.07m in its first three days.

Produced by Beijing Galloping Horse, Fleet Of Time racked up 5.9 million admissions on its opening weekend and has grossed a total of $36.43m including advance ticket sales. Starring Eddie Peng and Ni Ni, the film is a coming-of-age story about a group of friends in China in the 1990s and 2000s.

The Crossing: Part 1 grossed $18.62m from 2.8 million admissions in its opening six days. Starring Zhang Ziyi, Takeshi Kaneshiro and Song Hye-kyo, the romantic epic revolves around an ill-fated ship that sank during the crossing from mainland China to Taiwan in the 1940s. The sinking is depicted in The Crossing: Part 2. Beijing Galloping Horse invested in the film, while Le Vision Pictures is handling Chinese distribution.
