Tallinn Black Nights Launches Animation Platform

Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival is launching a cloud-based online platform for animation professionals, Animacloudly, with partial support from Creative Europe.

The platform aims to link animation talent and studios with festivals, sales agents and the advertising industry through work portfolios, artist and studio showcases, festival listings and a database of professionals in the animation industry.

"While the animation industry both in the arthouse and commercial sectors has seen a tremendous boom in the recent years, there has been a lack of coherent promotion platforms and databases that could cater to that potential," said Mikk Granström, manager of Black Night's sub-festivals.

"Animacloudly will tap into that pool by developing a joint communication tool that would direct the attention of the major industry players and festivals to the animation community thus providing viable business for both parties". …
