Thank you all for your patience regarding the delayed September Journal which you should have finally received in the last two or three weeks. I am happy to say that this issue is back on schedule and you should receive the March 2015 magazine early that month. Thanks to those of you who sent me kind words of support regarding my wife's traumatic hospitalization and eventual leg amputation. She is now back home and continuing her rehab.

One thing that most of us have in common is that we collect jazz-related music in many forms (CDs, 78s, vinyl, tape and cylinders), and memorabilia such as books, sheet music, video, film, magazines, photographs etc. We don't just listen to our music! Many of our members are specialists on certain musicians and eras, while others tend to have a broader taste in the music we love. I have recently reorganized my own collection into two separate areas of my house, and was astounded by the amount of space it takes up. The good thing is that I can now lay my hands on something I need without it becoming a full days labor. So, here is my question to you: How do you store your own jazz collections? …
