Nancy Kelly is a true jazz singer. She should not be confused with the folk singer by the same name out of Boise, ID nor the late movie actress, Our Ms. Kelly is a native of Rochester, NY and completed her formal education at Eastman School of Music in that city. She works both coasts of this country plus Europe and Japan. She has been twice voted the best female jazz vocalist with Downbeat readers. She has now released at least six albums as a leader. She has a straight ahead delivery with terrific jazz phrasing.

Her sidekicks are not so bad either. Weldon is a New York City veteran player who is now about 57 years old. He worked in the Lionel Hampton band but now free lances. A first class tenor sax player. Losito, a Elmire, NY native, graduate of William Paterson University, Wayne, NJ. …
