Article excerpt

Everyone at the ISC is saddened by the recent death of International Sculpture Center catalyst and founder Elden Tefft. On p. 80 of this issue, we remember the spirit and accomplishments of the man and the artist. True to its mission-first set out more than 50 years ago-the ISC continues to value sculptors and the impact of their work on community and society.

This month's feature articles deal with the range of materials and ideas behind the continuing power of sculpture. Artists include Janine Antoni and Michael Jones McKean from the U.S., Peter Randall-Page from the U.K., Huang Zhen from China, Paulina Webb from Argentina, and Shayne Dark from Canada.

As we start to move into the summer, the ISC membership department will be working on new benefits-so keep an eye out for announcements in upcoming issues. There are more ways than ever now to connect to the ISC. Join our Facebook, Twitter, and mailing lists, and download the app to read this issue on your tablet or mobile device.
