Technology holds tremendous opportunity for youth around the world to do more and achieve more in their lives. At Microsoft, we are committed to bringing the benefits of technology and technology skills to all.

We believe that technology can help inspire students and empower teachers both in the classroom and at home. If a device doesn't enable teaching and learning, then it's just a piece of plastic and metal. Technology must prepare students for the next step-whether that's deeper learning, high school, college or the workforce.

In fact, an IDC study, Skill Requirements forTomorrow's Best Jobs, concluded that proficiency in the use of our products such as Office is seen as a fundamental skill for the job market-especially, for top-grossing, high-growth employers. It is for that reason, Microsoft Canada recently announced that over4 million Canadian students and their families-from Victoria to St. John's are eligible to access Office at no cost from their schools through the Office for Students program. …
