UTAH: GOVERNOR SIGNS LGBT ANTI-DISCRIMINATION BILL

A new law in Utah makes it illegal to base employment decisions on someone's sexual orientation or gender identity or expression. However, employers are not prohibited from adopting reasonable dress and grooming standards or from making reasonable rules to designate sex-specific facilities.

WISCONSIN: THE 25TH RIGHT-TO-WORK STATE

Wisconsin became the 25th right-to-work state when Gov. Scott Walker recently signed legislation prohibiting the mandatory payment of dues and fees, making union shop clauses unenforceable. A day later, a coalition of unions sued the state to stop enforcement of the law.
