The end of the school year is a time of reflection. The contributors to our Perspectives column this month were kind enough to share their reflections on the past school year-their challenges and their highlights, their successes and their disappointments.

As you think about the past several months, what stands out? You likely remember a healthy mix of triumphs and mis-steps, of "a-ha" moments and moments of "What was I thinking?"

Isn't that as it should be? When you are willing to take risks and make mistakes, big and small, you are giving yourself a gift-an opportunity to learn and grow. When you take the time to think about your failures then consider options, the "What was I thinking?" turns into a "Let's try this instead."
