This is a very interesting disc. First of all, it is far from a copy of the famous Miles Davis and Gil Evans collaboration. The first tune, "Concierto de Aranjuez" and the last tune "Solea" follow the score written out by Mr. Evans. However, that is where the similarity ends.

The three middle sections are all different from the original on the Columbia label, thus the title of "Sketches of Spain Revisited". Even in the first and last movements, the improvised parts vary. …
