Two middle age musicians (Eubanks is 57 years old and Jordan is 55) who by now are veteran performers. I would consider them at or near their creative peak. Kevin is a native of Philadelphia, PA where at an elementary school level he was already studying music at the Settlement Music School in that city. Later he was at Berklee College of Music in Boston. His mother was a gospel singer, pianist and organist. He has two brothers in music, Robin plays trombone and Duane works as a trumpet player. His uncle was Ray Bryant. Quite a pedigree. At age 25 he was working with Art Blakey. He has since worked with Fred Hersch, James Williams and Billy Hart to drop a few names. He has taught at Banff School of the Fine Arts in Canada, at the Charlie Parker School in Perugia, Italy and Rutgers University in New Jersey.

Jordan, on the other hand, hails from Chicago but grew up in San Francisco. Stanley started on piano at age 6 and guitar at age 11. …
