As teachers anxiously awaited the Year 6 #Satsresults last week, TES dipped its metaphorical elbow into Twitter to test whether they were hot and bothered or as cool as a pedagogical cucumber.

Even before the results were out, @PeterAllen1 was out of bed asking: "Is anyone staying up to find out their fate?"

@Johnybig32 highlighted a common point of view. "It's a shame #Satsresults won't reflect the nurture and growth so many Year 6 teachers have developed this year," he tweeted. "I know what I've achieved."

Meanwhile, @Tomee78 questioned the ethical status of Sats: "They are actually a detriment to a rounded education and a tool for governmental dictatorship over education," he argued. …
