CENTER ON RELIGION AND DEMOCRACY at the University of Virginia will script a three-part television series that explores democracy in the United States and abroad through Alexis de Tocqueville's Democracy in America.

COLLEGE OF WILLIAM AND MARY will finish a two-volume translation and digital sound recording of 970 pages of Creek texts collected in Oklahoma just before World War II by anthropologist Mary R. Haas.

MARYLAND HISTORICAL SOCIETY will script a two-hour documentary film on Benjamin Henry Latrobe and his contribution to the architecture of the new American republic.

MASSACHUSETTS HISTORICAL SOCIETY will continue the Adams Papers Documentary Editing Project, a comprehensive edition of the diaries, letters, and official records, public writings, and literary miscellanies in its collection.

MINNESOTA PUBLIC RADIO/AMERICAN RADIOWORKS will produce a one-hour documentary program for radio and a website chronicling the legal career of Thurgood Marshall before he was appointed to the United States Supreme Court.
