Summer School

The fifteenth International Summer Master Course presented by London Master Classes will be held at The Royal Academy of Music from 6 to 13 September. The Course, which is unique of its kind, attracts major international talent to London for an intensive week of public masterclasses and concerts.

Daily classes offer the public a chance to eavesdrop on the preparation of performances which are then thrillingly brought to the platform in our evening concerts. The Course opens with a Gala Master Concert given by the professors.

Since its inception in 1988, young virtuosi from over forty different countries have attended the courses to work, and share a platform, with some of the most distinguished performers and teachers of the day.

The entire 2001 Summer Master Course was filmed by onlineclassics.com - and a five-programme series can be seen on its website and on Digital Classics TV: Sky Digital Channel 464.

The Faculty of the 2003 Summer Master Course includes Nelly Miricioiu in Vocal Class, Gyorgy Pauk in Violin Class, Ralph Kirshbaum in the Cello Class, Norma Fisher in the Piano Class and Benjamin Zander/LSCO in the Conducting Class. Public booking details and tickets for masterclasses and concerts for prospective participants and a Diary of Events can be obtained from the Course Director.
