Walt Disney once said, "You can design, and create, and build the most wonderful place in the world. But it takes people to make the dream a reality." Disney was a visionary who surrounded himself with people who shared that vision and helped him turn dreams into reality.

That sounds like quite a few middle level folks I know-principals, teachers, support staff, students, and parents who have a vision of what middle level schools should look like and work together to ensure those schools meet the social, emotional, and academic needs of young adolescents.

Every cause needs a leader-and at a successful middle school, leadership comes from every corner of the building and beyond. As this month's issue of AMLE Magazine highlights:
