Harris Corporation unveiled the smallest full-spectrum Long Term Evolution (LTE)-capable portable radio available to meet first responders' evolving communications needs. The full-spectrum, XL-200P portable radio gives users both single- and multiband capability. They can begin with Single-band use and add bands through a simple software upgrade without purchasing new equipment. The XL-200P's built-in LTE connectivity extends powerful voice Land Mobile Radio network coverage to deliver push-to-talk voice and data- including streaming video- to connect first responders anywhere broadband access exists.

The XL-200P was designed based on interv iews with law enforcement, fire, EMS and utility users across the country. The result is a lighter, more compact radio with a customizable, intuitive user interface and softwa re feature upgrades via WiFi.
