ALAN DETTLAFF has been named dean of the Graduate College of Social Work at the University of Houston. He was an associate professor in the Jane Addams College of Social Work at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dettlaff earned a bachelors from Texas Christian University, and a masters and a doctorate from The University of Texas at Arlington.

WILLIAM FRANKLIN has been appointed vice president for the Division of Student Affairs at California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH). He was interim vice president for enrollment management and student affairs at CSUDH. Franklin earned a bachelors and a master's from California State University, Northridge, and a doctorate from Stanford University.

JOSE FIERRO has been appointed president and superintendent of Cerritos College. He was vice president of academic affairs and chief academic officer at Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Fierro earned a DVM from the University of Applied Sciences in Bogotá, Colombia, a master's from Nova Southeastern University in Florida and a doctorate from Northcentral University in Arizona.

TABATHA "TAMMY" TERRELL-BROOKS has been named director of alumni and constituency relations at Jackson State University. She was special assistant to the vice president for institutional advancement at Jackson State. Terrell-Brooks earned a bachelor's and a master's from Jackson State.

DANIEL E. MARTINEZ has been named director of the the George Washington University's Cisneros Hispanic Leadership Institute. …
