Rutgers Professor Wins Losey Award

Susan E. Jackson, professor of management and labor relations at Rutgers University, recently won the Michael R. Losey Human Resource Research Award.

The SHRM Foundation announced the news at SHRM's annual Volunteer Leaders' Summit in Washington, D.C., in November.

The $50,000 award is named in honor of Losey, who served the HR profession for more than 45 years. He was president and CEO of SHRM from 1990 until his retirement in 2000. The honor recognizes HR academics and experts whose research significantly advances the field of HR management. Losey attended the presentation.

During her nearly 30-year career, Jackson has conducted research on various HR issues that has been published in more than 150 scholarly articles. Her focus areas are managing for environmental sustainability, workteam diversity and strategic HR management systems. …
