That Woman

Article excerpt

Andrew Morton tells us that Monica Lewinsky is the most humiliated woman ever. `It is a parable of our time; how modern states strip a person bare of all dignity or humanity.' Gee whiz, and I thought it was all about a blubbery bimbo going down on a fat draft dodger. Now I'm told it was the modern state's fault. Morton should stick to writing the bullshit he does and leave the higher political thoughts to George Orwell.

Talk about debasing the language. A fat, power and money hungry tart comes to England to cash in and the media compare her to the divine Diana. What the hell is going on here? The columnist Joe Sobran wrote that Clinton is to the presidency what Larry Flynt is to journalism, and how fitting it is that Flynt emerged as the Draft Dodger's ally in the latter's hour of need. Hear, hear! Clinton reached depths of vileness none of his predecessors could even contemplate. His major supporters mirror him. Larry Lawrence, his ambassador to Switzerland, in reality a millionaire shyster who invented a war record and who had to be disinterred from Arlington Cemetery. …
