Four high-profile female RCMP employees have appealed directly to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to stop the RCMP commissioner from firing them before their sexual-harassment lawsuits are heard in court.

Corporal Catherine Galliford (pictured), Corporal Susan Gastaldo, Constable Alice Fox and Atoya Montague, a civilian employee, all of whom have been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress, are suing the RCMP over sexual harassment. All four are currently unable to work.

In a letter sent to Liberal MPs and senators in November, the employees outlined the harassment they endured, as well as the force's blacklisting of them that followed their complaints. "We're asking your government to be the one that ends the abuse once and for all," the women wrote. …
