Every so often I plug something random into a Google search just to see what comes up. That's how I found out that there is a painter by the name of Patricia George.

Inevitably, my Internet searches evolve into six degrees of separation activities. Six degrees of separation is the theory that everyone can be connected to any person in the world in six or fewer relationships.

The theory, originally espoused in 1929, was made popular by a play by John Guare.

Which prompted three college students to create the Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon game, which challenges players to link any actor or actress to actor Kevin Bacon in six connections or fewer.

Kevin Bacon, in turn, created, which is a charitable social network that brings celebrities and good causes together.

A quick search of the causes in my home state of Virginia turned up A Forever Home Rescue, which is an animal rescue that holds an electronics recycling fundraiser for their organization-and in fact is where I take my electronics to be recycled every spring! …
