WHILE YOGA IS a great exercise for stretching, flexibility and relaxation, there's no solid evidence that it can cure or prevent disease or slow the aging process. Fitness experts also disagree with claims that yoga provides an all-around workout. They say that no single activity will do that for you-so don't give up your basic aerobic exercise such as brisk walking or running.

A MARYLAND STUDY found that 40% of people killed while bicycling had been drinking and 22% were legally drunk. Drinking impairs coordination and prolongs reaction time for cyclists too (not to mention that drinkers are less likely to protect themselves by wearing a helmet).

NUTRITIONISTS urge us to eat foods that derive less than 30% of their calories from fat. To figure fat percentages, just take the number of calories per serving (listed on the label), and divide by 30. …
