Carlton Cuse Goes for Big Apple Condo

Writer and showrunner Carlton Cuse has shelled out $4.1 million for a swanky condo in a freshly renovated building in New York City's spendy Flatiron District. The "Bates Motel" creator bought the property, which measures 1,690 square feet, with two en suite bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, in a 1915 building reconceived by architect/ designer Alan Wanzenberg. The lavishly equipped kitchen features a 1014-foot-long peninsula counter with integrated snack bar and marble countertops. Positioned directly across from Madison Square Park, the ritzy complex offers a private fitness club, a 60-foot indoor lap pool, a spa treatment room, yoga and Pilâtes studios, and a courtyard garden.

Cuse also owns a 6,267square-foot residence privately tucked up into the mountains south of L.A.'s Sherman Oaks neighborhood that property records show was bought back in the mid-1980s for $670,000. MARK DAVID
