Over 6,000 members of the Catholic education community gathered together in April to lead, learn and proclaim at the NCEA 2015 Convention & Expo. Engaging in conversation, sharing resources and coming together for mission is what NCEA Convention is ail about. Here are some highlights from this year's celebration:


Catholic school teachers made up the majority of attendees at NCEA 2016! Also represented at NCEA 2016 were board members, diocesan staff members, school librarians, principals, pastors/ priests, superintendents and other champions of Catholic education.

33% Attendees hailed from the State of California

Below, NCEA Interim President Thomas Bumford (right) presented Brother Peter Pontilillo, S.M. (center), with a certificate commemorating 50 years of consecutive attendance at NCEA Conventions. With them is Brother Thomas Giardino, S.M., Assistant for Education for the Marianists, Province of the United States.

The Convention & Expo always has outstanding attendance from the host diocese and surrounding from the diocese in the state. Missourians, save the date - next year we will "meet you in St. Louis!"
