AFTER WRAPPING A FILM SHOOT, MARTY DEW TAUGHT AT TREMAINE CONVENTIONS.

In June, Marty Dew completed the "most intense and biggest job that I've done in my career so far," he says, a the month-long shoot of the film You Got Served, scheduled for release in January 2004. The movie stars the musical group B2K and Marques Houston from the group IMX, and is about ten rival hip-hop crews. Not only did Marty play himself (his character's name is Marty and was written in for him after the audition) but he was in the main crew and even had a few speaking lines. "I chimed in from time to time," he says. "In the end, we come together and beat the crew who stole our moves at the beginning of the movie."

Filming ran Monday through Friday for at least eight hours a day, with many longer days. "I had to be there at six in the morning-It almost felt like a normal job," he says jokingly.

While the group had a good time, it takes focus and professionalism to shoot a movie in a month. …
