ITALY'S NEW SALES company True Colours has aquired global distribution of five Italian titles premiering in Venice, which it will be selling in Venice and Toronto.

True Colours has nabbed teen pregnancy drama "Piuma," by Italo-Brit writer and director Roan Johnson, in Venice competition; romantic psychodrama "Tommaso," by actor-director Kim Rossi Stewart, unspooling in an out-of-competition spot; "Indivisible," directed by Edoardo De Angelis, about teenage conjoined-twin sisters with beautiful voices who support their family as a performing act, screening in Venice Days, Toronto, and London.

True Colours have also picked up buzzed-about Sicilian exorcists documentary "Liberami" by Federica Di Giacomo and drama "I Was a Dreamer" by first-timer helmer Michele Vannucci, about an ex-con, both in the Venice Horizons section.

Its substantial slate indicates - less than a year after debuting at the Rome Film Festival's MIA market - that the company headed by Catia Rossi and jointly formed by Italy's Lucky Red and Indigo shingles is getting good traction. …
