This reissue consists of two long play recordings. The first 8 tracks would have been Tampa 21 recorded under the leadership of Plas Johnson while the latter 8 tracks would be Tampa 54 under the name of George Jenkins. Also two tracks on Tampa 54 do not have Plas Johnson present. "Drum Boogie" has entirely different personnel than shown above. Gerald Wiggins is the pianist, Bump Myers holds down the sax chair while Herman Mitchell is the guitarist and Red Callender on bass. Jenkins is the drummer. …
