Lisa Kelly-Vance and Wendy Price to Lead NASP

Lisa Kelly-Vance, PhD, has been elected as NASP president-elect starting in July 2017 and will assume the presidency in July 2018. She is currently the strategic liaison for the Professional and Information Services program area and the lead board member for the Practice Model key strategic initiative. Previous leadership roles included serving on the Convention, Professional Growth (Chair), Leadership Development, Communications, and Strategic Planning Committees. She is the recipient of the NASP Presidential Award (2012) and state and local professional awards in Iowa and Nebraska.

Following her training in Indiana and internship in Michigan, Lisa's professional career began in Iowa, where she spent 5 years as a practicing school psychologist. She is currently the director of the school psychology program at the University of Nebraska-Omaha where she is also the practicum and intern supervisor. She sponsors a summer reading program and completes research on autism and play assessment and intervention.

Lisa has been the state association president and served on association committees in both Iowa and Nebraska. As author of more than 25 professional journal articles and 135 conference and association presentations across the country, she is a prolific writer and presenter.

Wendy Price has been elected as NASP secretary starting in July. Most recently, Wendy has been the NASP delegate from Massachusetts and the delegate representative for the Northeast Region to the NASP Board of Directors.

She has been a practicing school psychologist since 2001 and currently works full time at Whitman-Hanson Regional High School, located on the south shore of Massachusetts, where she is also one of the faculty advisors for their Gay/Straight Alliance club (The Rainbow Alliance). …
