Springer Partners With Chinese Academy of Sciences

Springer will launch Aerosol Science and Engineering (ASE), the new journal of the Institute of Earth Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IEECAS). ASE will be published quarterly by Springer, electronically and in print. It will cover traditional aerosol-related topics and emphasize the application of aerosol technology to environmental issues.

Alexander Street Rolls Out New Installment in Ethnographic Collection

Alexander Street released an installment in its Ethnographic Video Online Series, Volume IV: Festivals and Archives. It contains contemporary anthropological films and provides access to difficultto-discover content. The collection focuses on titles that were at contemporary ethnographic film festivals. There is also a selection of 2016 and 2017 films screened at the Margaret Mead Film Festival, the Society for Visual Anthropology's Film & Media Festival, and the Royal Anthropological Institute Film Festival, among others.

IET Announces New OA Program

The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) launched a new open access (OA) program, IET Open. The first journals published under the program are IET Cyber-Physical Systems: Theory & Applications and Engineering Biology.

Gale Launches a Collection

Gale released a civil liberties archive, Making of Modern Law: American Civil Liberties Union Papers, 1912-1990, containing records from the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). It is available via the Gale Primary Sources platform, and it is cross-searchable with other Gale Primary Sources collections. Textual analysis features such as term cluster and term frequency sort through the text and index terms from the content to help researchers identify relationships among themes, events, individuals, and more.

Wiley Collaborates on OA Journal

Wiley partnered with the European Society of Evolutionary Biology and the Society for the Study of Evolution to publish a new open access (OA) journal, Evolution Letters. It contains research in all areas of evolutionary biology and consists of original research (letters) and comments and opinion (a forum to showcase new research ideas). It is available online, and authors affiliated with, or funded by, an organization that has a Wiley Open Access Account can publish without paying any publication charges.
