WARREN PETTY has been named vice president for human resources at the Stevens Institute of Technology. Petty previously served as senior vice president for human resources at HeartShare Human Services in Brooklyn, N.Y. He has a masters in communications from Wheaton College and a bachelors from Howard University.

ANN BURRIS has been appointed Kennesaw State University's assistant vice president and chief human resources officer. She previously served as assistant deputy commissioner of human resources for the Georgia Department of Human Services. She earned master's degrees in human resources management and public administration from Troy State University.

THEODOSIA S. COOK has been named director of equal opportunity & affirmative action at Dartmouth College. Cook earned a bachelor's degree from Sewanee: The University of the South and a master's from Columbia University. She was previously the assistant director of special projects at Dartmouth.

Carlton Spellman has been named vice chancellor for business and finance at Fayetteville State University. He previously served as assistant vice chancellor for administration at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. He received a bachelor's and masters degree from St. Leo University in St. Leo, Florida.

YOHURU WILLIAMS will become the dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of St. Thomas on July 17.
